In 1999, Justin's first-born son, Brennan, contracted spinal meningitis at 4 days old. Doctors were convinced that the traumatic effects of the illness would leave Brennan with permanent hearing loss, blindness, and developmental handicaps. During this time, Justin turned to his music for therapy and wrote some of the toughest songs of his life. "This Distance" came out of one of those quiet, lonely late night sessions. Recorded for the new album, it brings to life the story of his son, and his crying out to God for His peace. In the end, God did come through with His healing power. Brennan is a rambunctious 4 year-old now, a perfectly healthy Southern California beach kid, and Justin and his family couldn't be more thankful.

Justin is celebrating his tenth year in Christian Music and full-time concert ministry, averaging 120 concert dates each year. He's traveled across North America again and again, singing for 20, then 20,000, and then 20 again. Justin took a short break from the road last fall to record his 6th album "Can't Bring Me Down" in Nashville.

"This CD is proof of God's power, that with all that life can throw our way, when God is with us, nothing can bring us down," says Justin. Justin has been singing "Can't Bring Me Down" to the world for 10 years, and this year, the rest of us will start singing along.

Justin grew up in Arcata, California in a home dedicated to Christ. By age 19, he had toured public high schools across the nation with Young American Showcase, performing for over half a million teenagers in ten months. During that whirlwind year God confirmed a calling on Justin's life to pursue full-time ministry. After graduating from a Christian college and interning with internationally known singer/songwriter/producer Bob Kilpatrick, Justin hit the road on his own, striving to make every concert a high-energy, passionate expression of God's unconditional love and grace.

"We do this because we believe we've got a message to communicate. Music can reach even the hardest heart. It's a powerful force, and God has led us to use our gifts for His service. To let him work through us in touching lives...it's the greatest honor...it's why we do what we do."

Fox has sold over 20,000 units independently, making him one of the most successful independent artists in Christian Music today. "Can't Bring Me Down" was released in the U.S. and Canada on February 18, 2003 through Grassroots Music Distribution.
