Bourgeois Guitars

Brad is the guitarist for The Creaking Tree String Quartet. A band that plays original instrumental acoustic music that combines the imaginative phrasing and driving rhythms associated with Jazz and Bluegrass. He has been working as a professional musician and educator since 1991.  Brad studied composing, arranging, Jazz and Classical theory, ear training and advanced improvisation at both Selkirk and Capilano Colleges on the west coast of Canada.  He then continued his studies south of the border with Bluegrass guitar and mandolin instructor John Moore.  Brad has taught in schools, workshops, and privately; including the Guitar Masters workshop at the I.B.M.A. Fan Fest in Louisville, Kentucky.  In the Studio he has worked for Los Angeles based CMH Records on their "Pickin' On" series, as well as Toronto based Somerset Entertainment on their "Solitudes" series.  Brad's main guitar is a D-150 and a Mahogany dreadnaught both made by Dana Bourgeois.  Brad and The Creaking Tree String Quartet have just finished their third record with Producer Bil VornDick and it is scheduled for release in 2007.
