Bob MacLean

Guelph, ON

Morgan concent cutaway, Taylor 315, Route 101 Soliman

Bob is a Guelph, Ontario-based guitarist, folksinger, arranger, and composer.  With roots in Cape Breton (Glace Bay) and Quebec, Bob has played many styles including rock n' roll, classical, pop, and traditional folk.  He pursued formal music training, obtaining music degrees from McGill and Western.  After time off, working and raising a family, Bob rediscovered both his musical passion and Celtic roots.  With non-stop drive, he quickly established himself as a Celtic Fingerstyle guitarist to be reckoned with and performs frequently at festivals in Ontario and Cape Breton.  A key figure in the local music scene, Bob often plays in Southern Ontario as a solo act (traditional and Celtic folk music with lots of percussive Fingerstyle guitar).  He also performs in duos with Randy Jackiw (Mistral) and Allison Lupton (Lupton & MacLean), with Celtic Band Whirlygig, and as a guitarist in Traditional Celtic sessions.
