Danny Mays has been rocking the stage since his first karaoke concert his family suffered through at age 5. Now in his mid-twenties, he has seen the stages get larger and the lights get brighter, playing shows with the likes of Coldplay, AFI, Good Charlotte, Billy Idol, Foo Fighters, Kanye West. Counting Crows and more. Danny has played the main stage of the HFSTIVAL, a radio-station sponsored concert drawing upwards of 50,000 patrons annually. Danny is also the Vice President of HIGH SCHOOL BATTLE OF THE BANDS, INC. in his home county in Annapolis, MD. The non-profit organization's annual event sells out, drawing well over 1200 patrons, and features the area's best high school rock bands. It is the largest showcase of its kind in the entire country. Danny also emcees as a way to draw more attention to the event. "It's a great way to give back to the community and the people that have helped make me who I am", Danny says. "It's so awesome to see those kids work their way up, just like I did." As a bassist, Danny's future is bright…and you can be sure, wherever he's playing, he's ALWAYS rocking his Elixir® Strings.
