Taylor Guitars with Elixir Nanoweb strings (.052-.011) in most shows, on most recordings and whenever possible.  When using a pick Mike usually uses Fender Heavy or Extra Heavy picks.

On stage Mike uses 2 Lectrosonics UCM 100 wireless units, one for guitar and one for his vocal mic. Mike's skin-tone headset vocal mic is made by Countryman.

Mike's amp...
When playing electric guitar Mike uses a 1965 blackface Fender Tremolux head and whatever speakers he can find.

Effects...
Mike does not currently use any effects on his acoustic guitar in live performances.
In the past he has sparingly used the reverbs from a Yamaha SPX-90, a Roland SRV-2000, and a Korg A-2 Signal Processor.
