Glenn Roth's constant companion throughout his life has been his guitar, even at the tender age of seven. Glenn enthralled with the guitar and the amazing sounds, which he was able to create with this instrument, chose to wrap his life around music.
Glenn is currently a guitar instructor by vocation, with a roster of private students. In addition, he teaches young guitar hopefuls out of the Branford, CT music store, "A Sound Choice". For the past four years, Roth has been performing regularly at various venues throughout Connecticut and New York. He began performing as one half of an acoustic duo called Fountain Project, which after two years evolved into a full band by the same name, in which he played lead electric guitar. Fountain Project has performed at musically respected venues such as Toad's Place in New Haven and CBGB's in NYC, regularly opening for national bands such as The Machine and Jenn Durkin and The Bomb Squad.
Having already developed a following and a reputation as a uniquely talented guitarist through his prior performances, Glenn's solo career has begun full force with regular performances across Connecticut, and now, the NYC area. Glenn has the consistent ability to grab and hold his listener's attention with his energetic, original fingerstyle music, which consists of a wide range of styles and influences.
Glenn is currently performing as a guitar soloist while continuing to study jazz and fingerstyle guitar, and is heavily influenced by a wide range of artists from Eddie Van Halen and Trey Anastasio to Tool and 311. On the fingerstyle side, Glenn is influenced by Tommy Emmanuel, Preston Reid, and Kaki King.
