Guided by Bob Taylor's visionary approach to instrument manufacturing, Taylor Guitars has become one of the world's premiere makers of high-end acoustic, acoustic/electric, and electric guitars. Taylor has achieved an unsurpassed standard of excellence by combining Old World craftsmanship with state-of-the-art computer technology, thus forever changing the way guitars are built. Above all, the company's success represents a triumph of aesthetics in an era geared to instant gratification and expediency. Taylor’s ever-increasing popularity confirms the timeless appeal of traditional elegance, natural beauty, and innovation.
Since June 1, 1999 Taylor has been factory-installing ELIXIR Guitar Strings on all steel-string guitars. The move to ELIXIR represents the first significant change in Taylor's string program in many years, and it came about for one very simple reason: Bob Taylor wanted to do it.
"When things are truly different, and truly better, I can get very excited about them," Bob explained recently. "That's how I feel about ELIXIR strings, and that's why I made the decision to begin using them as 'original' equipment at Taylor Guitars. I like the tone of ELIXIR strings, and they last and last and last, staying clean and brilliant to both the touch and the ear for much longer than I'm used to."

Taylor Guitars Outreach Events
In March of 2007, Taylor expanded upon its successful workshop program by introducing the Taylor Guitars Road Show. The events bring a team of factory experts to authorized Taylor dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada for a fun evening of guitar demos and discussions, tone and maintenance tips, and the opportunity to try out rare and custom guitars, as well as unreleased prototypes. Each show is led by an elite three-person team of Taylor experts, consisting of a Product Specialist, Guitar Tech and Regional Sales Manager.
